Struggles for Autonomy in Southeastern Mexico

The following talk, entitled “Struggles for Autonomy in Southeastern Mexico,” examines some historical considerations and possible futures for the neo-Zapatista movement in Chiapas, oppositional political movements in Oaxaca, and indigenous autonomism in Guerrero, among other questions.  It was presented at the University of Southern California on 25 April 2011.  It is just under an hour long.
